All of Alia’s drawings are underwritten by an aesthetic philosophy, which mandates that each line, form, and color serves a specific purpose.

Her ability to express simple ideas in complex ways, and complex ideas in deceptively simple ways is demonstrated by her body of work that exhibits a boundless range of themes, concepts, and stories from cheery and simple expressions of confections, to the bloodied and complicated illustrations of war-torn countries. However, in her more recent works, she tends to focus on more positive images, as she finds that these bring the most joy to her audience.

Caviar Oyster [2017]; Commissioned in 2017 by Fine Foods Trading Inc., the world is the viewer’s oyster with caviar served at least 10 ways.
Regret [2020]; For every regretful action taken, there is one moment when the regret crystallizes and fate is sealed for the person taking the action and for all those such action impacts.
Bloody Mary [2018]; A shrimp, a pickle spear, a hot pepper, pearl onions, olives with pimientos, a lemon wedge, and celery in a RED drink: everything the artist wants ‘in’ a brunch cocktail.
Topical Flower Series: Global Warming [2014]; One of the artist’s earlier works, this piece exudes the movement of extreme weather with trees bending in the wind, crying clouds, smiling sizzling suns, and a giant tsunami, all swirling around a hurricane and precipitating from a tornado.
Blue Bath [2020]; Everything about a beautiful bath is blue, but what if the blue water was replaced with a ‘blue’ figure, laying lifeless in a tub, with nothing but a funerial lily to keep her company as she cleanses her soul?
Seafood Tower [2019]: A sequel to the “Caviar Oyster,” this lavish tower, topped with Poseidon’s trident, is exactly what the King of the Sea would serve at his table. This practically mythological ocean delight is composed of: lobster tails soaked in butter; tuna, salmon, & eel nigiri, octopus, yellowtail with jalapeno, king salmon, & toro sashimi surrounded by the ocean; a divine oyster platter with all the necessary sauces, shrimp & glamorous crab leg cocktail; and sea urchin filled with caviar.
King Fish [2014]; The King needs no introduction. His elevated status jumps off the page.
Lemon Pie [2015]; A slice of lemon pie garnished with a candied lemon slice should only ever be served on a giant slice of lemon.
Sinful 7 Layer Cake [2019]; The seven deadly sins are meant to be avoided, unless they are condensed into one slice of cake with: cookies topped with blueberry pie and whipped cream with a cherry on top dressed in donuts for the gluttons; gummy lips and cherries for the lustful; purple flowers on a fondant sash for the prideful; broken pretzel rods for the wrathful; gold chocolate coins for the greedy; melting marshmallows for the sloths; and green for the envious. The artist dares you to pick up that fork and take a bite if you can live with yourself.
Avocado [2018]; Green and electric on its own, sometimes an avocado needs spicy salmon tartare and tortilla chips for the flavor to really pop.
Woman in Green Chair [2017]; Is she extremely comfortable, or in agony? Is she tense reaching for a bowl of snacks or more laidback than she’s ever been? Either way, she’s hot pink in a grand green chair.
Box of Chocolates [2017]; This 'lovely' box is perfect for your Valentine! After all, home is where the heart is and life can be a bed of roses.
Silver Dollar Pancake [2018]; Yes, the artist wants a bowl decorated in eggs: sunny side up. Yes, the artist wants such a bowl to be underwritten by a strip of bacon. Yes, the artist wants the pancakes to look like the blueberries, pineapple slice, and strawberry are outfits these tiny stacks are wearing out for a social brunch affair. Yes, the viewer is invited.
Topical Flower Series: Breakfast Flower [2014]; The sensation of a beautiful morning captured through the lens of a classic American breakfast composed of blue donuts on a pink donut, orange slices, pancakes on a waffle, blackberry and raspberry jam jars, bacon, sausage links, fried eggs, and green tea feels like looking at the rays of the sun.
Millenial Burger [2017]; Why are the pickles just drawn on the packaging but not actually on the otherwise traditionally appealing, yet electrified cheeseburger? Could it be that the concept is strong, but the flavor profile of the dish is lacking? At least it comes with a side of fries.
X-Mas Cake [2016]; Merry X-Mas on a three-tier cake. Jingle bells adorn wrapping paper on a gift box form the base, a not too complicated gingerbread house makes the center, and evergreen vines with decorative lights make up the precipice, topped with a broken peppermint ornament.
Mango Lassi [2018]; This yogurt beverage of Indian origin deserves an ornate glass.
Real Estate Icon [2014]; Part of a much larger top secret work the artist has been working on for years, this visual pun finds a large crane placing four NYC icons atop Lady Liberty’s crown.
Topical Flower Series: Pirate Flower [2014]; 'X' marks the spot, but any good pirate knows you cannot reach the treasure without riding the waves, fighting, flying your flag, and wielding briny swords.
X-Mas Cocoa [2018]; T’was the night before, with stockings hung by the fire, holiday lights on evergreen, hot cocoa filled with chocolate chips, shavings & syrup, marshmallows, whipped cream, and peppermint, all surrounded by a green candy cane with a cake pop showing Santa’s sleigh flying overhead. There are presents and more candy too.
King Cobra [2015]; Unlike King Fish, this glamorous guy is as entitled as he is venomous.

Gift Basket [2016]; Generosity and abundance make for the perfect gesture of goodwill. Italian bread, caviar, artisanal pasta, popcorn, chocolate chip and blue and white cookies, fresh oranges, bright green pears, a cheese wheel, champagne, wine, chips, sausage, gumballs, and anything else the recipient can imagine also help.

Topical Flower Series: God Bless American Flower [2014]; Capitalism, 'borrowed' iconography and land, our favorite pass time, the Pentagon, and a hot dog come together to showcase the artist's home country.
Shattered Sapphire [2016]; Sapphire’s are a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. Imagine the release of precision energy required to shatter several facets of a trillion-cut stone and feel that power and strength of will.
Topical Flower Series: Syrian Flower [2014]; An early work, this piece is painful and poignant as it illustrates the unspeakable tragedy of governmental instability, (illustrated by alternating flags) and chemical warfare in a country with a rich cultural history. Syrian pancakes with pistachio and the Great Dome of Damascus are horrifyingly met with mortars on a Byzantine inspired backdrop and a magazine.
